Film Releases and Screenings in the Area of Bay!

Two of my friends slash acquaintances have some exciting news on their latest releases. Check it out:

"The Breathing Show" released on DVD!

The Breathing Show is a film by my long time friend Stephen Statler, who directed and co-wrote the script with the lovely and talented Mouncey Ferguson. I was the Production Manager on this film and was proud to be an integral part of a very talented and imaginative team. Stephen, Mouncey and I helped found Double Dog Dare Productions and this was our first feature film project. It was a grand labour of love for all of us and we're proud to see it get the full scale DVD treatment! The DVD also features other shorts by Stephen and they are amazing. I do not exaggerate when I say that he is one of the most talented artists I have ever had the pleasure to know and work with. It's a great indie flick and you should check it out. The DVD can be purchased here or you can rent it through Netflix.

Rob Nillson's "NEED" premieres at the Mill Valley Film Festival!

Please come out and support filmmaking at its best with the latest film by
Director Rob Nilsson and the Tenderloin yGroup Actor's ensemble!! NEED is the 6th film in Rob's "9 at Night" series, an ongoing portrait of 40 - 50 characters living in SF's Tenderloin district. It's premiering at the Mill Valley Film Festival on Thursday, October 13th at 7:15PM at the Rafael Film Center in San Rafael and Friday, October 14th at 9:30PM at the CineArts Sequoia in Mill Valley with a party sponsored by The SF Weekly at the Outdoor Art Club at 8:00PM.

I deeply respect and dig Rob both as a filmmaker and a person. His parties are great! Last time I went I got to mingle a bit with Sean Penn and Lars Ulrich as well as a lot of interesting folk from the T-Y Group. It'll be worth the money spent.
Tickets can be ordered here.
