A Tribute to Robina Marchesi.

Being that I have been in New York since March, and therefore somewhat out of the California Bay Area film community loop, I was just informed this evening of the passing of Robina Marchesi . After a nine month battle with pancreatic cancer, Robina passed away on May 22. She was 40. That's too young.

While Robina was not a close friend, we did work together several times in the Bay Area film festival world. I liked and respected her a great deal. Last I heard of Robina, she was in post production for her film Gumby Dharma , a feature length documentary about Art Clokey, the creater of Gumby, Pokey and many other claymation characters.

I guess I am writing this because I want everyone out there to know about Robina and this project and to go see it if you have the chance. But more importantly, count your blessings. Enjoy your life and treasure the people you love.
